The game of carrom is an interesting combination of pool and air hockey, but highly accessible as an indoor family game, being compact and portable. It involves a combination of both physical and mental elements.

International Carrom Federation was formed in 1988. Pakistan Carrom Federation(PCF) was established in 2004 by some like-minded Carrom lovers in Karachi, Pakistan. After getting approval from the International Carrom Federation(ICF), the founding members of PCF formulated an organising committee. The organising committee then formulated a constitution as per national standards for sporting organisations. Pakistan Carrom Federation is working for the betterment and promotion of the game of Carrom ever since.

In Pakistan it is played in street clubs and cafes, where it's competitions are held on daily basis. In Karachi, a special type of Carrom 'Doboo' is played. Although carrom holds a significant place in Pakistan, a lot of its potential is yet to be exploited.It helps in binding people domestically as well. Families and friends bond over this game. Even there are several apps of carrom games in mobiles

and computers in which we can play carrom sitting at homes with friends

and even people around the world and aqquaintance with them.
